About Sparks Ink
Sparks Ink is the new literary arm of Sparks Productions which began in 1991. For the past 25 years, Sparks Productions has created high end television, print and digital advertising. Since we love working with musicians and photographers we have a particularly close affiliation to Sparks Music (run by Larry Macrae, formerly of BMG Music and Andy Crosbie formerly of Ready Records) and Sparks Photographers (run by Pamela Hamilton). While we are all distinct, we’re definitely part of the same creative family.
Our Editorial Director is Suzanne Zelazo.
Suzanne Zelazo has a PhD in English with a speciality in modernist poetry. She has published widely in the field including co-edited poetry collections with MIT Press and BookThug. She is also the author of Parlance, a collection of poetry from Coach House Books. Suzanne founded Queen Street Quarterly, a journal of experimental writing in Canada which she edited from 1997-2005. She has worked in commercial sport publishing and continues to work as a freelance editor.
